MESSAGEPresident's Message

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, are an initiative in which countries, regions, and organizations work together to pursue the sustainability of the global environment and human society, with the common global goal of the future to “leave no one behind”.

140 years ago, Meiji University was founded in the spirit of “harmonious cooperation”, with the founding spirit of “Rights and Liberty, Independence, and Self-Government”. With the aim of creating a “peaceful society (and world) where human beings deserve to live as human beings”, Meiji University is conducting a variety of educational and research activities that contribute to the SDGs.

Now, we have launched this website to introduce such activities by visualizing them more clearly in an organically connected manner. We hope that the website will help you feel closer to the SDGs and help you achieve the 17 goals and 169 targets that we are working on together with people around the world.
