Details of the Initiative

Our laboratory develops mathematical software and conducts educational outreach activities. As part of our research activities, we have published all calculus lectures for first-year university students on YouTube for the 2024 academic year. Currently, 166 videos are available. This time, we are using VOICEVOX, the text-to-speech software that provides “Zundamon,” aiming to refine the lecture dialogue and improve the intelligibility of the lecture audio.
While the educational premise remains that humans must deliver lectures, we also ask: if lecture videos are well-planned, is it necessary for humans to read them aloud? We anticipate an era where more people in society, driven by perspectives like reskilling and university-high school continuity, will develop an interest in university-level mathematics. Through this series of YouTube videos, we provide a platform where such individuals can study university-level mathematics at their own pace, anytime. (https://www.youtube.com/@meijilinearalgebra)
